Ohiya Railway Bridge

Ohiya railway station is at between Pattipola and Idalgashinna. Ohiya is at Badulla district of Sri Lanka. There is a deep and beautiful railway bridge at Ohiya. It is at 2km from Ohiya railway stations to Pattipola side. There is a railway tunnel ( Tunnel 21 ) also at closed to Ohiya special railway bridge. In several years before, there was a footpath to Horton plains from ohiya. Some identified it as Shortcut to Horton plains from Ohiya. It is started from Ohiya railway bridge. How ever now it is closed.

Where is Ohiya

Ohiya Railway station is at Betwwen Pattipola and Idalgashinna. No travelling method to Pattipola or Idalgashinna exept train. There is a way to Ohiya from Welimada via Boralanda. One bus is working that way. The bus starts 6:30AM from Ohiya --> 7:15AM Welimada, 8:45 Ohiya --> 3:45 Welimada. Another difficult way to Ohiya via Udaweriya Estate from Kalupahana (Colombo - Badulla Road)
