Pattipola
Pattipola Railway station is highest railway station of Sri Lanka and which is situated at border of Nuwaraeliya district. In earlier time it was situated at Badulla district. Pattipola is high 1892 meters above sea level. There is a place which is most highest in Sri Lankan railway is situated at near Pattipola railway station. That point is called Summit level and it is high 1898m above sea level. Summit level is at 3km to Ohiya side from Pattipola railway station. One of the main entrance to Hortan plains is at via Pattipola town and there fore number of visitors arive to Pattipola daily. There are 10.5km to entrance gate of Horton plains.
Kirigalpoththa and Totupola mountains which are situated near Pattipola and about 10.5km to Totupola mountain and about 21km to Kirigalpoththa mountain.
Cool Gutter means 'Ays Peela' of Pattipola is at near Pattipola railway station. That gutter is very cool and nice to bath. Ambewela Milko milk factory, Eycalyptus cutivations are at Ambewela side of Pattipola place.
The great and most interested railway tunnel of Sri Lanka is at near Pattipola railway station. That tunnel is identified as Tunnel 18. It is very dark and beautiful onece. Tunnel 18 is at 3km from Pattipola Railway station. Pattipola railway station and closed place is very famous for local tourist.
