Visiting Places Closed to Udamala Mountain

Udamala mountain is situated at between Pattipola and Bogahakumbura and it is at the border of Nuwaraeliya and Badulla districts of Sri Lanka. This mountain is high about 2000m (7500Ft) above Sri Lanka. On the way to Udamala mountain you have to visit several beautiful places such as Diyawatanalla waterfall, 5000Ft rock above sea level, Nasdanda mountain, Half-moon Mountain, Maharathmal ( Rhododendron arboretum) varieties and high forest areas, Eucalyptus forests, Tusker way and beautiful sceneries on the down side of the Udamala mountain.

Udamala mountain involves 2 districts and 2 climate zones. They are Badulla and Nuwaraeliya districts and Wet and Dry zones. One half of this mountain at Nuwaraeliya district and other half is at Badulla district.

1. East - Alawathugoda Bogahakumbura - Badulla district
    -- Welimada / Haputale / Diyathalawa / Bandarawela

2. North - Ambewela - Nuwareliya District
     -- Ambewela / Kande Ela Lake / Hakgala / Nuwaraeliya

3. South - Nasdanda Mountain - Badulla District
    -- Ohiya / Summit Level / 18th Tunnel

4. West - Pattipola railway station - Nuwaraeliya district
    -- Pattipola / Totupola mountain / Horton Plains / Dayagama / Bakers Falls
