   Thalawakele is very famous area of Sri Lanka. Thalawakele is at between Watagoda and Kotagala railway stations. Majority of population of Thalawakele are Tamils and a lot of Tea estates at Thalawakele area. Sri Lanka tea reserch center is at Lindula of Thalawakele. Lindula junction of Thalawaleke is to turn agarapathana and Dayagama places. Upper Kothmale Reservoir and electricity project is now continuing at Thalawakele area. Easy to move Nuwaraeliya, Hatton or Kothmale from Thalwakele. Thalawakele railway station is big railway station and lot of people at anytime.

 The main task of people who visit Thalawakele area is visit two waterfalls of Thalawakele. Those are St.Clair waterfall which is at 4km from Thalawakele town and Devon waterfalls which is at 8km from Thalawakele town. St.Clair and Devon waterfalls can be seen in railway and main road also.
